New Wetland for south coast

Stan Culley has embarked on an ambitious project to transform his banana plantation into a wetland.

He has constructed a dam which is already starting to attract a number of waterbirds and birds associated with water.

This will prove to be a great asset to the south coast and an added attraction for our Gaze Farm outings.

Here is a selection of some of the ‘residents’ spotted and photographed by Stan to date.
Baillon's Crake has also been seen, but unfortunately Stan was unable to get a photo.
