6.30am BirdLife Trogons will visit Amanzimtoti Bird Sanctuary
and Illovo River Mouth,
Winklespruit.
Amanzimtoti Bird Sanctuary is a new venue for the club. The sanctuary is a haven for birdlife with 150 bird species, including Black-throated Wattle-eye, White faced Duck, Green-backed Heron, Giant Kingfisher, Brown-hooded Kingfisher, and Hamerkop.
Bring chairs,
breakfast & something to braai for lunch.
ALL WELCOME. There
is a R20pp charge for non-members of BirdLife Trogons.
Outings may be
cancelled due to weather, if in doubt phone Eric before setting off.

From the N2
northbound take the M37 Moss Kolnick Drive off-ramp and
turn left. Keep straight on at robots then turn
left at next junction into Ashgate Road. Turn left at T-junction into
Umdoni Road, the reserve is on the left. Meet at the entrance gate.
